The Secret to Loving your Business through the Pain

The Secret to Loving your Business through the Pain The reason it feels so painful and scary to grow your business sometimes is simple, and knowing the reason will bring you huge peace of mind and take off the pressure, if you let it… allowing your success to grow naturally. Many women agree: the worst physical pain they’ve known was that of giving birth to their child. Many people agree: the worst emotional pain they’ve known is losing a loved one. When we birth a business, we’re experiencing two-fold pain. First off come the labor pains of getting this vision out from inside our head & heart, and into the world. As if that s-t-r-e-t-c-h isn’t enough, we’re  simultaneously losing a loved one…our formal self.  … Continue reading

Get paid for your Being, not your Doing

yoga_sunset

How do we get paid for being, rather than for doing?  This is a question I ponder often, and I’ve had some revelations both from my own unsurpassed brilliance (wink, wink!) and from posing this question of colleagues and fellow successful business owners. A wise coach in my life Hans Phillips once told me that… “If working hard meant you would guarantee your success and wealth, then all people who worked hard would be successful and rich.”  You know as well as I do, this just ain’t the case, baby. And if you’re like me, you’re out to crack the code of building a business based in BEING-ness, not DOING more, more, more. But what’s the secret? How do we switch from the “busy-ness” we … Continue reading

A part of me died, will yours die too?

I recently took a big financial risk in my business that felt super scary.  However, stepping into the risk was an up-leveling that brought about a “small death” of sorts.  I bet you can relate. The thing I learned is that, when it feels risky and makes you squirm, it’s not a reason to turn around and head the other direction. I spent Sunday going out to the Asilomar retreat center where we’re having our upcoming wealth retreat for women.  (Watch video here) … Signing the contract to secure the esteemed historic chapel made my heart race and left me wishing I was still married to my money-savvy ex-husband… it was one of the biggest financial risks I’ve ever taken. So, rather than shrinking back … Continue reading

Energetic Secret to Manifesting Clients

Haramara_meditation

Happy New Year Gorgeous ones!  It’s taken me a couple of weeks to reach out because I’ve been in Mexico at a Yoga retreat.  I would like to say the retreat has brought about a Hollywood type rainbow & butterfly-like transformation, but I would be lying and pretending to be a glossy well-polished business mentor, which I am not. I’ve been busy launching a new (and very awesome) FREE livestream training called 10 Feminine Keys to Sacred Client Enrollment… which is full of authentic and non-glossy strategies that work.  If you want more info on that pronto, click here but what I’d really like to share is how life challenges impact your ability to gracefully grow your business and enroll clients, and a four step … Continue reading

Saavy Client Attracting Tools for Spiritual Entrepreneurs

hand heart

When we feel like we “need” clients, it can put a pressure on us that is very difficult to navigate… this pressure can clog our creative flow and really stress us out.  First and foremost, give yourself a break.  You are claiming that you are going to trade your innermost gifts for money, which takes gumption and courage.  It’s not a path for the faint-of-heart. Be sure to create client attraction goals that leave you feeling empowered, rather than setting goals that you can’t really control. Rather than setting a goal like “I’m going to get 3 new clients this month”, set a goal of: “I’m going to put my gift certificates in five locations, create at least one newspaper ad and practice my enrollment … Continue reading

How Selling can be Sacred

sand heart websize

When I first started my business, I studied business models and learned from a lot of teachers.  I learned formulas to explain what I do and strategies for selling on stage. All of it was extremely useful.  But I wish someone had told me bluntly: Take these tools, try them on, see if they fit, but be sure to always first and foremost: be yourself. There are a few things you can begin doing right away to let your sweet soul be a sacred magnet for “selling” your business. First and Foremost: Be Yourself Last year I was asked to speak to a group in San Francisco.  I woke up the morning of my talk and I decided I was going to throw out some … Continue reading

Curing Entrepreneurial Jealousy

Have you ever been envious of those further ahead? Maybe you’ve felt jealous of entrepreneurs with more clients, a better video, a prettier website, more followers, more Facebook comments, more… better… whatever? Me too. My dear friend Ben Salzman is living his purpose, so fully and completely. He stands up, all shiny and happy and successful… to announce his upcoming prosperity workshops at our local Sunday Spiritual Center; Inner Light Ministries. I have to admit that sometimes I’ve felt… envious. (Don’t tell anyone please, this is just between you and me and the other thousands of other entrepreneurs who this email is going out to! LOL.) But guess what? Last weekend Ben in his light and amazingness stood up to do the longest most beautiful … Continue reading

Native American Wisdom, Transitions & $uccess for 2012

Wishing you a VERY Merry Holiday, Solstice & Happy New Year!!  It’s such a JUICY TIME. One of my favorite things about the holiday is tradition and reflection.  The holiday marks a season that prompts me to reflect back upon my year, my accomplishments and my journey.  With the return of the light I can feel  hope renewing within me. As many of you know, I’m going through a divorce.  (Note: I’ve been saying that pretty much all year).  Some would say- “Just get a divorce and move on!”  But the truth is, it’s taken most of this year to grieve, find my joy again, explore my life without him and heal.  It’s taken time, a lot of time… more time than I thought it … Continue reading
